Thank you to JAMES AND CREW!! You rescued me from the summer heat! (This review is a couple of months late, repairs done in June). If I could give these guys more than five stars, I would! I have a 2002 Honda Civic whose A/C had not worked since I bought the car more than a year ago. I suspected that it was a bigger problem than simply needing a recharge, so I finally brought it to Mike's Auto Air Conditioning. They gave me a free diagnosis and had me in and out in less than an hour. I was impressed from the very beginning. Then, I became *that* customer. 😂 The repair was a little more money than I wanted to spend, so I decided I would buy the parts myself— an evaporator core, expansion valve, receiver drier, and O-rings— and have a friend who is knowledgeable about cars and has plenty of tools to help me do the repair. Well... that didn't exactly go according to plan... We managed to make the problem WORSE by accidentally deforming one of the A/C lines. So, with my head hung low, I returned to Mike's A/C— and James had mercy on me and welcomed me back! He replaced the damaged A/C line and tested the system to see if it would hold a charge. It wouldn't. Rather than giving up on my now-more-complicated A/C system, we scheduled another day for him to go back through the work we had done and figure out where the new problem was. Ultimately, he ended up installing another evaporator core and doing a LOT of work to get everything working properly again. After all of that mess, they gave me a discount on the final bill-- I was definitely not expecting that! Considering how much additional work my DIY adventure had created for James, I was incredibly grateful. These guys genuinely care about their customers. James was patient!, professional, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire ordeal. I never felt judged for trying to repair it myself, even though I came crawling back after making things worse! 😂 Instead, he simply focused on figuring out the problem and getting my A/C working again. There are plenty of places that can work on cars. It's much harder to find a shop where you feel like the people working on your vehicle are honest, skilled, and genuinely good guys. I 100% recommend Mike's Auto A/C, and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else for A/C work. They have absolutely earned my trust and my future business. ***Thank you so much, James, for your patience, your kindness, and for getting my Civic's A/C working again!*** You guys are the best!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went in to get my AC fixed after being quoted $8,000 at the dealership. Dropped off the car and they fixed the leak in under 5 hours for an extremely affordable price. Highly recommend and shout out to the kind staff there. Big shout out to James who did a great job with the repair!

James, your father raised you to be such an amazing, humble, and honorable person full of ethics and morals. I rarely ever write any reviews on Google. Maybe once a year, maybe once every two years? There are very few businesses that I would place my name, along with a five star review, attached to it. Yours is an exemplary example of how businesses should be operating on this island. And I emphasize exemplary. You focus on the customer and do not place profits over them. It says a lot about how you prioritize things in life, and it is not a common thing that I find on this island, much less in society nowadays. I brought my 2015 Toyota RAV4 in for an air-conditioning issue last week Friday. My husband was the one who actually scheduled the diagnostic appointment at 9 AM. Not only did you take the time, labor, and effort to diagnose my AC, but you were upfront that there was no issue to it. You refused to take any payment, even when my half-Korean side was going to come out and was going to shove it in your pocket. Frankly, you seriously floored me and left me with my mouth gaping. In a good way. I commended such upstanding service to my husband, and he stated that the best way to reciprocate your kindness was to write a review for your business. Thus, here I am. I will not hesitate to recommend you to everyone I know that needs a repair to their air-conditioning, or the many other services that you offer in your repair shop!!!! I will be sure to positively recommend you on any form of social media that I am on. MAHALO PIHA (an immense amount of gratitude) to you, along with your father, for reminding me that there are still honest and amazing people in this world that do business in a pono (moral) manner.

This is going to sound absolutely insane, but Mike's Auto Air Conditioning fixed my car's AC issue over the phone!!! I called to make an appointment and the gentleman knew about a known problem with 8th generation Honda Civics where the heater sometimes engages while the AC is running (blowing warm air). He told me to blast the heater real quick, then switch back to AC. Now my AC is blowing ice cold. Unbelievable! I'm definitely using this shop in the future and you should do the same!

Easy 5 Stars. They were genuinely very helpful altogether, and worked with me on flexible schedule with drop off & pick up. They even helped coordinate with a painful extended warranty company. The shop is somewhat difficult to access with limited parking. However, that customer service and fair pricing makes up for it. The cost of repair was a fraction of the cost I was originally quoted by local dealership. I originally took my vehicle to JN Chevrolet. THEY ARE A SCAM. Quoted me over $9k to fix my air conditioning, and continued to tack on the additional scam work of suggested repairs.

I chose this local family-owned shop because of its great reviews, and I'm so glad I brought my car in to have the A/C fixed. James and the staff were outstanding. No sales pitch, no pressure. They clearly explained what was wrong, what needed to be done, what it would cost, and how quickly they could complete the repair. Excellent service, honest communication, and a team you can trust. Highly recommend.
